
What it a normal/ healthy heart rate?
I’m 20 years old. My heart rate is 55 beats per minute. What is normal for my age? Is there a specific range of beats per minute where I’m supposed to stay during exercise?

55 beats per minute is great! I’m 19 and mine is about 60. Usually, 60 is the amount you want to shoot for, and you’re below that, which is even better. ![]()
A little fact: Lance Armstrong has a resting heart rate of 32.
For exercise, I believe it should be between 50% and 80% of your maximum heart rate.
