what happened to my heartbeat!?
I started training for triathlons about a 2 ago weeks. Today I went to train for 3 h 30 min drive and hard. The same day my coach told me that I needed a electrocardiogram for the next day. I had no idea what was so I called my mom for her to make an appointment because after my practice. practice ended a bit late, so I had to run to the car so we can go to the doctors. When I arrived I been a bit hectic and very nervous.I did not know what to expect, and my mother was not allowed in the room with me. When I made electro, my heart rate increased to 108 the doctor said it was high and he told me to wait 15 minutes. after that I'm even more nervous and scared because I knew the 108 was extremely high. When the doctor came I was almost in tears and my heart rate was the same. Does anyone have any suggestions to this problem?
OK. A heart rate of 108 in an uneasy concerning the situation does not really provide is valid. The heart rate will naturally increase when you are anxious and upset. What would past, the doctor or nurse you'd sit and tell you exactly what they do and why they do it. This reduces anxiety surrounding it. Why ECG induced in the first place? Was there a problem when you exercise? Chances are there's nothing wrong with your heart rate. Your heart rate should be much higher than being a cause for concern. 60-100 is just way whats the rest. Normal depends on the person and situation. The heart can not cope with HR is much higher and lower than the 60-100. When you're under stress or if you're upset, your body goes into fight or flight. The levels of adrenaline and cortisol is increased in the body, increasing heart rate, redirects blood flow to muscles, increases breathing and muscles time, etc. All these processes are intended to help you fight or run from a threatening situation. Your body does not know the difference between a real threat and a situation where we're just anxious, but not immediate danger, he responds to all stress the same way. Nothing you have described sounds abnormal. Of course, this does not mean that everything is OK, I do not know why you had the ECG first.
